THE GIVING STOP
Clothing Shed (FREE / Donations of Unwanted Clothing)
The Clothing Shed is located in our church parking lot. The clothes are sent to people all over the world in need, and the church is also paid per-lb. for the donations. This project helps fund mission and church projects.
Community Drive-thru Dinner and Groceries (Food / $ / Volunteer)
Every other month (JAN/MAR/MAY/JULY/SEPT/NOV), we serve our community by giving away FREE hot meals and FREE bags of groceries. We typically serve 120+ families and the need continues to grow.
You can help by:
- Donating food/groceries (lists are available in the Fellowship Hall or contact the office)
- Donating money and the church will purchase the food/groceries
- Spreading the word to your family, friends, and neighbors that we offer this outreach program – it’s free of charge, no ID required, and no proof of income is required!
Family Living Center Baskets ($ / Specific Items)
The Family Living Center (FLC) is a homeless shelter in Massillon that provides temporary housing to help families get back on their feet. Epworth supports their mission with providing household items and goods to families when they leave the shelter. We accept money or specific donations to fill the baskets. *See Kathy Legrom for details or contact the office.
Make-a-Way Bingo ($ / Bingo Prizes)
You can support Make-a-Way through monetary donations or Bingo prizes. Make-a-Way serves people with addiction, mental health, physical disabilities, and/or developmental disabilities in the Massillon community through constructive social and recreational activities and programs. *Contact the office for more information.
Membership Care (FREE / Cost of Postage / Volunteer)
Volunteer to stay connected with our shut-in members. You can set-up a time to visit or send a card!
*Smile Cards are available at the church, or contact the office for more information.
Paper and Cardboard Dumpster (FREE / Donations of Unwanted Items)
Paper and cardboard dumpsters are located in the church parking lot. Donate paper, newspapers, magazines, and cardboard for recycling. The church receives money from the donations and it helps fund other projects.
“Roll-Vember” ($)
Donate rolls of coins! Funds go to paying off the principal balance on the Fellowship Hall. *See Rod Deitz for details.
Shoebox Giving ($)
In October-early November, the church supports the mission of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Operation Christmas Child sends shoeboxes to children in need all over the world as a way to share God’s love. We fill these boxes with toys and personal items. A brochure is available to further explain the mission and items needed in the boxes. *Brochures are in the Fellowship Hall or contact the office for more details.
Tithing/Offering/Giving ($)
Tithing, offering, and giving not only occurs during services, but can be done at any time in-person at church, through the mail, online, or by stopping by the office. Your generosity is used to pay for church operating expenses, special projects, and other needs throughout the year. Tithing/offering/giving can be set-up at any frequency, whether it’s a one time donation or occurs on a regular basis. We appreciate anything you can give, no matter the amount.
